MCA Public Relations has worked with Capital One Bank in North Texas for several years providing public relations services for their community programs including financial literacy and financial education. One of those great initiatives is Finance Park. Capital One Bank/Junior Achievement Finance Park is an innovative financial education program that teaches basic money management skills to area students. The facility features an interactive classroom where 7th through 12th graders have the opportunity to experience adult financial decision making in a high-tech learning lab.
Finance Park has visited the Dallas and Irving areas for a few weeks each fall since 2007. Capital One Bank provided this award-winning park, valued at more than $300,000, as a legacy gift to Junior Achievement of Dallas. This is an ongoing program that has served 17,000 students from 80 area schools and MCA has successfully obtained stories from The Advocate.
