Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was expanding and MCA Public Relations was retained to unveil its exclusive, four-star boutique lifestyle hotel with the debut of Hotel Palomar in Dallas. The $90 million transformation of Hotel Palomar and Residences at Palomar marked Kimpton’s first foray into the Texas market and this also represented the first property in their portfolio to be redeveloped as a mixed-use complex.
MCA Public Relations used our media relations and special event expertise to share the Kimpton brand with Texans. We developed the concept of “Art in Motion” through pre-opening media outreach and a grand opening soiree. To tie in with the “Art in Motion” theme, we created strategic partnerships with Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Stanley Korshak, Parisian Artist, Morganne, Brooke Berman Gallery and Project Bandaloop. Our strategies maximized Hotel Palomar’s exposure, including stories from Austin American-Statesman, Commercial Property News, Dallas Business Journal, FD Luxe, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, GO Magazine, Hotel Business Magazine, Hotel Design, Meetings & Conventions Magazine, PaperCity Magazine, Park Cities People and Wall Street Journal, and all local affiliate TV stations.
MCA Public Relations also received accolades for event content and execution: “Best entertainment production” by Houston International Special Events Society ; “Best entertainment production” by Dallas International Special Events Society; and National award winner by the International Special Events Society.
