Aimbridge Hospitality, the nation’s second largest independent hotel management and investment firm, acquired the Sandals Dunn’s River Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and decided to rebrand the hotel to The Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa. After undergoing an extensive makeover, which included new room products, bed linens, technology and pool furniture, the hotel reopened and MCA was tasked with the public relations launch. We implemented a plan to garner press nationally in hotel, travel, wedding/honeymoon, and other consumer publications.
Working with the Jamaica Department of tourism and ownership, we hosted a media familiarity tour that resulted in positive coverage from Date Night Magazine, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Discover Spas, Hotels Magazine, Jamaican Times, Lodging Magazine, Luxury Web Magazine, Miami Herald, New York Resident Magazine, Resort & Recreation, South Florida Caribbean Times, Southern Brides, Travel Agent Online, Travel Weekly and Watch Boom.
